Purposeful reading is the key to scholarship. As such library and reading rooms are the essential adjuncts of a college. At preset the library has about 30,000 volumes. Apart from the curricular topics, there are books on a variety of subjects such as general education, religion, health and customs of Punjab and more are proposed to be added during the current session. Text books are available in the book-bank of the college.
For the reading room, the library subscribes to about a dozen dailies and 70 different current Indian and foreign periodicals on various subjects in different languages. Students are expected to sit in the reading room in their vacant periods and make use of the facilities provided. They are expected to maintain perfect silence inside the library.
